Tell Frosty what you lost
Ring, phone, keys, watch or another valuable. Describe what makes it recognisable.

Send the location
A beach name, landmark, Maps pin or coordinates. Be clear about what you know and what is approximate.

Search conditions are assessed
Surf, tides, depth, current, visibility, access and the likely size of the search area.

Arrange the search
If the location can reasonably and safely be searched, discuss the recovery attempt and any applicable costs.
The more we know, the better we can search
Sand moves. Tides change. Waves and beach activity can disturb an area. Save the last-known point while it is fresh, and explain if you are unsure.
A Maps pin is useful alongside a description: which side of a creek, how far from shore, the beach access or the nearest fixed landmark. The form lets you add coordinates yourself or choose to share your current location.
