Your Enquiry. Your Privacy.

This policy explains how information is handled when you enquire about a recovery search.

What is collected

The enquiry form collects your name, mobile number, optional email address, item details, loss date, location description and any extra information you choose to provide. Optional coordinates and Maps links help identify a search area.

Browser geolocation is requested only after you click “Use my current location” and give permission. You can instead type a location description. Your current position may not be where the item was lost.

How information is used

Information is used to assess and respond to recovery enquiries, discuss search arrangements and communicate with you about the enquiry. Personal information is not sold.

Relevant information may pass through the hosting and email providers used to deliver the form. If SMS alerts are enabled, a short enquiry notification may also pass through an SMS provider.

Spam protection and website operation

Cloudflare Turnstile is used when the live form is configured to help prevent automated abuse. It processes technical request information as described in Cloudflare’s privacy policy. The server uses short-lived request limits to reduce spam.

The website does not request location on page load. WordPress and hosting services may use necessary cookies and technical logs to operate and secure the site. No advertising analytics are added as part of this build.

Keeping and correcting information

Enquiries may remain in the business email system for responding to and managing the search and any necessary business records. Unneeded enquiry information should be deleted when it is no longer required.

To request access, correction or deletion, use the contact form and select “Other”. Include only the details needed to identify the earlier enquiry. Some records may need to be retained where required.
